General Manager Dennis Landis says that commitment has helped PrairieCoast Equipment grow its business for nearly 40 years. “We recently completed a large, four-complex merger, but during that process, we recognized that our existing business system would need to change in order for us to maintain that commitment to our customers. Landis says that he can review all the necessary dealership information in “as little as five minutes. Or, I can spend an hour if I choose to do so. Whereas running reports used to take PrairieCoast Equipment hours, Landis says that all the details “are instant now. It used to take a lot of time to create reports, and then we would make decisions based on trends and assumptions. And, we had to run those reports based on time frames we couldn’t control. The Dashboard, though, lets us choose any date range we want, so we have more control over the ways we analyze information, and that helps us make better decisions.”
And because Landis is more mobile now than he used to be, he says he really appreciates the fact that the CDK Dashboard is available to him wherever he has an internet connection. “I can be in any PrairieCoast Equipment location and access the Dashboard. Actually, I can work in an airport or even in my car, as long as I have 3G,” he concludes.
